“Just breathing and smiling can make us very happy, because when we breathe consciously we recover ourselves completely and encounter life in the present moment.”
― Thich Nhat Hanh —
Let us reclaim our peace of mind and joy in the midst of the busy-ness and confusion around us. Join us for a nourishing five days of rest, rejuvenation, and connection as we learn how to take care of our bodies and minds. Together, we'll awaken to our clarity and compassion, and learn how to cultivate our strengths and embrace our challenges with concrete ways of practice and ease. PS - Don't forget to bring your hammock if you have one - we'll have a chance to explore hammock meditation during the retreat.
The Wake Up movement was founded by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh as a way for young adults (18 to 35 ish) around the world to come together and practice mindfulness in order to take care of themselves, nourish happiness, and contribute to building a healthier and more compassionate society.
