Dear Beloved Friends and Benefactors of Blue Cliff Monastery,

We hope this message finds you in good health and enjoying the beautiful days of Spring. We are writing with deep gratitude and an exciting update on the progress of the nunnery construction at Blue Cliff Monastery in Pine Bush, New York. Thanks to your generous support, we’ve made great strides toward building a safe, warm, and spiritually nourishing home for the sisters.

We’re happy to share that the roof is now complete, and the preliminary plumbing, electrical and HVAC work have been successfully installed. These milestones mark an important phase of the project and bring us one step closer to realizing our collective vision.

As we continue moving forward, we are grateful to announce a wonderful opportunity: a $110,000 matching fund has been offered to support the next phase of construction. This generous gift was offered by numerous anonymous donors who have been inspired by the manifold sangha’s collaboration, commitment and togetherness to help the nunnery manifest as plan. Among these contributions is a gift of $5,000 from Green Island Sangha. The matching fund will match every dollar you contribute this year up to $110,000, which doubles the impact of your generosity. We are at a pivotal moment in the journey of replacing the old uninhabitable housing with a new home for the sisters of Blue Cliff. Together, we can make this goal a reality.

The brothers and sisters of Blue Cliff Monastery are profoundly grateful for your continued support, which has been evident from the very beginning of this project. After many years of devoted practice and sharing the art of mindfulness on the East Coast, the sisters will soon have a true home to call their own.
